iQiyi recently released new behind the scenes stills from the filming of the Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (“成化十四年”).
The drama stars Darren Cheng as a quick-witted, senior-ranking government official named Tang Fan and Fu Meng Po as a specialist martial artist and guardsman, who team up to solve conspiracies.
Sleuth of Ming Dynasty is an adaptation of a historical novel of the same name written by Meng Xi Shi and is set in the 14th year of reign of the Chenghua Emperor.
Broadcasts of the drama began on April 1, 2020 but the adaptation has not been without its share of controversy as viewers have criticized male lead, Darren Chen’s acting as childish. Darren has countered this critique stating that “The drama’s script is quite subjective” and that he can accept all critique both good and bad.”
Nevertheless, from the stills it appears viewers are in for a visual treat. International fans can find episodes of this adaptation of Sleuth of Ming Dynasty on Viki TV.
